Whilst Italy and France compete for the title of the world's largest wine producing country, consumption in both countries is continuing to decline and so more emphasis is being put on export markets. The UK remains one of the major markets for Italian wines and Italy is the only European country that increased overall sales in the UK last year.
With certain categories of Italian wines becoming almost unaffordable, contrasted by the lake of unsold, poor quality wines all becoming tarnished by the publicity surrounding a few unethical wine makers. We are very proud to offer the good and the great. Offering value for money wines made by honest and principled Italian families.
In Italy wine is produced from over 1,000 different grape varieties and there are still plenty of hidden gems waiting to be discovered. We have managed to uncover a few of them, which are included here and we hope that you will enjoy discovering them too.
