Champagne
Champagne, no other wine evokes such a sense of celebration and luxury. Dom Perignon, a Benedictine monk is falsely acknowledged with discovering the champagne method of secondary fermentation in the bottle. This was in fact discovered by the English at least six years before the fabled monk, according to Tom Stevenson. Champagne can only be produced from a delimited area in France using the methode champenoise to be called Champagne. The demand for Champagne continues to grow in the UK and across the world.
